Remote Accountant / Auditor for Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accountant / Auditor to support financial reporting, audit, and tax compliance work for a global client base. This is a remote-friendly engagement ideal for a finance professional who thrives on accuracy, process rigor, and clear communication across GAAP and IFRS frameworks. You'll work independently while collaborating with distributed teams to ensure financial statements and audit trails meet the highest standards.

What you'll do

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and/or IFRS standards
• Conduct audit procedures including testing, documentation, and risk assessment
• Build and maintain financial models and reporting workflows in Excel
• Support tax compliance activities, including filings and regulatory documentation
• Identify discrepancies, control gaps, or reporting risks and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors as needed
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all financial processes

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting roles
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS standards
• Hands-on experience with audit procedures and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling
• Familiarity with tax compliance requirements across jurisdictions
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical rigor
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration

Compensation

This role offers an hourly rate of $60-$75, commensurate with experience, and is open to qualified professionals globally on a remote basis.
