About the role

We're partnering with a leading AI research initiative to help improve how AI models understand, process, and generate natural human speech. We're looking for native American English speakers with strong vocal presence to contribute recorded audio for a short-term voice data project. Whether you come from voice acting, music, podcasting, streaming, radio, comedy, or simply have a great speaking voice, this is a fast, flexible way to put your voice to work.

No formal voice acting career is required — professional experience is a plus, but energy, clarity, and authenticity matter more.

What you'll do

  • Record a variety of scripted and semi-scripted audio prompts in your natural American English accent
  • Follow direction on tone, pacing, emotion, and delivery style as needed for different AI training scenarios
  • Deliver clean, high-quality audio recordings within project timelines
  • Participate in short check-ins or feedback rounds to refine recordings if requested
  • Complete the full engagement within a 1-2 week project window

Requirements

  • Must be a native English speaker, born and raised in the United States
  • Comfortable speaking clearly and expressively on recorded audio
  • Access to a quiet recording environment and a functional microphone setup (professional equipment not required, but clear audio is essential)
  • Reliable internet connection for remote collaboration and file delivery
  • Ability to take direction well and adapt vocal delivery based on feedback
  • Availability to complete the project within the specified short-term window

**Nice to have:**

  • Background in voice acting, broadcasting, podcasting, theater, music, comedy, or content creation (YouTube, Twitch, etc.)
  • Prior experience recording for commercial, animation, or narration work
  • Home recording setup with basic sound treatment

Compensation

This role pays **$50/hour**, fully remote, with a short-term commitment of roughly 1-2 weeks depending on scope and availability.
