macOS Sonoma 14.5 Power User — Application Testing & Expertise

About the role

We're building a network of genuine, everyday macOS Sonoma 14.5 users to support application evaluation, workflow validation, and real-world usability feedback. This isn't a scripted QA gig — we need people who already live in this operating system daily and know its quirks, shortcuts, and behaviors inside and out.

This engagement is fully remote and suited to professionals who want flexible, project-based work leveraging the OS environment they already use.

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on tasks and walkthroughs within macOS Sonoma 14.5, using it as your genuine daily-driver environment
• Test and evaluate application behavior, workflows, and system interactions (Finder, System Settings, Spaces, window management, and more)
• Document observations, edge cases, and usability friction points clearly and objectively
• Provide structured feedback on application performance and OS-level integration
• Communicate findings in a way that's useful to product and engineering stakeholders
• Complete tasks independently within agreed timelines

Requirements

• You must currently run macOS Sonoma 14.5 as your primary, everyday desktop operating system — not a VM, secondary machine, or borrowed setup
• Strong working familiarity with core macOS Sonoma features: Finder, System Settings, Spaces, window/desktop management
• Comfortable following structured test instructions while also exercising independent judgment
• Clear written communication skills for documenting findings
• Reliable internet connection and availability for remote, asynchronous collaboration
• No software licenses, virtual machines, or hardware will be provided — you must already have the environment ready to go

**Nice to have:**

• Prior experience in application testing, QA, or usability research
• Familiarity with a range of macOS-native and third-party applications
• Experience providing structured feedback to product or engineering teams

Compensation

Hourly rate: **$60–$70/hour**, commensurate with experience and depth of platform expertise. Engagement is remote and open globally to qualified candidates.
