Freelance Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist (Premiere Pro / After Effects)

About the role

We're looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Video Editor who can bring raw footage and creative briefs to life using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. This is a remote, freelance opportunity ideal for editors who love crafting polished, high-impact videos—from fast-paced social content to more involved motion graphics and compositing work. You'll join a flexible talent pool supporting a variety of video projects, with the ability to take on work that matches your availability and expertise level.

What you'll do

• Edit raw video footage into cohesive, engaging final cuts using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Design and animate motion graphics, titles, lower-thirds, and visual effects in After Effects
• Perform compositing work to seamlessly blend visual elements, green screen footage, and effects
• Color correct and color grade footage to achieve a consistent, professional look
• Sync audio, add sound design elements, and mix audio levels for clarity and impact
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand creative direction, incorporate feedback, and iterate on drafts
• Organize and manage project files, assets, and version control efficiently
• Ensure final deliverables meet platform specifications (aspect ratios, formats, resolutions) across various channels
• Maintain consistent quality and turnaround time across multiple concurrent projects

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience editing video content for a portfolio, brand, agency, or freelance clients
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for editing, sequencing, and timeline management
• Solid working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and compositing
• Understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual rhythm in video editing
• Familiarity with color correction/grading and basic audio mixing
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate proactively about project status
• A portfolio or reel showcasing prior editing and motion graphics work is required
• Reliable internet connection and a workstation capable of handling video editing workloads

**Nice to have:**

• Experience with additional Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition)
• Background in social media content, short-form video, or brand marketing videos
• Experience working with international or distributed teams
• Knowledge of platform-specific content requirements (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

Compensation

This is a freelance, remote-friendly engagement with flexible hours. Compensation ranges from $15 to $80 per hour depending on experience level, project complexity, and speed/quality of output. Rate will be discussed and confirmed based on your portfolio and the scope of assigned work.
