About the role
We're building a curated pool of real-world, hands-on **DaVinci Resolve** users on **macOS** to support a specialized research and evaluation initiative. This isn't a training course or certification — it's an opportunity for people who already live inside Resolve every day to put that expertise to work by completing structured tasks, workflows, and interaction sessions inside the application.
You'll need your own Mac with DaVinci Resolve already installed and ready to launch. We're not providing licenses, virtual machines, or hardware — just meaningful, well-compensated work for people who know this tool inside and out.
What you'll do
- Complete guided tasks and real editing/grading workflows inside DaVinci Resolve on your own macOS setup
- Demonstrate authentic, professional-level usage patterns across timeline editing, color grading, and project organization
- Follow structured prompts or scenarios provided by our team and document your process
- Provide feedback on usability, friction points, or unexpected behavior encountered while using the application
- Communicate clearly and reliably about task status, timing, and any issues that arise
Requirements
- DaVinci Resolve installed and functional on a Mac running macOS today
- Demonstrated real-world experience using DaVinci Resolve for editing, color grading, or post-production work
- Comfort working independently and following structured task instructions
- Reliable internet connection and availability for remote, asynchronous work
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
**Nice to have:**
- Professional background as a colorist, video editor, or post-production specialist
- Familiarity with advanced Resolve features (Fusion, Fairlight, color pages, node-based grading)
- Prior experience with usability testing, QA, or software evaluation work
Compensation
This role pays **$30–$40 per hour**, based on experience and task complexity. Work is remote and flexible, with opportunities for ongoing engagement as new task batches become available.
