AutoCAD Mechanical Power Users Needed – Real-World Testing & Feedback (Windows)

About the role

We're building a panel of experienced **AutoCAD Mechanical** users to help evaluate real-world workflows, usability, and feature performance on Windows PCs. This is a remote, flexible opportunity for professionals who already use AutoCAD Mechanical in their day-to-day work and can speak to its strengths, quirks, and pain points from firsthand experience.

This is not a training or licensing opportunity — we're looking for people who already have the software installed and are comfortable navigating it independently.

What you'll do

• Complete structured tasks and exercises inside your own installation of AutoCAD Mechanical on Windows
• Provide detailed, honest feedback on usability, drafting workflows, and feature behavior
• Document issues, friction points, or unexpected results with clear notes or screenshots
• Compare real-world drafting/detailing tasks against engineering standards and best practices
• Participate in short follow-up conversations or written surveys as needed
• Maintain confidentiality around task content and internal evaluation materials

Requirements

• You must already own or have legitimate access to **AutoCAD Mechanical** on a **Windows PC** — we do not provide software licenses, virtual machines, or hardware
• Practical, hands-on experience with 2D mechanical drafting and detailing to engineering standards
• Background as a mechanical designer, drafter, mechanical engineer, or similar STEM-adjacent role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to articulate technical feedback clearly in writing
• Reliable internet access and a professional, self-directed working style
• Comfortable working independently on a remote, task-based engagement

**Nice to have:**

• Experience with other CAD or mechanical design tools
• Prior participation in software testing, QA, or user research
• Familiarity with engineering drafting standards (ANSI, ISO, etc.)

Compensation

This engagement pays **$45–$55 per hour**, based on experience and task complexity. Work is remote and flexible, with multiple slots available for qualified applicants.
