Android Studio Power Users (macOS) Needed for Expert Workflow Sessions

About the role

We're building a panel of experienced Android developers to help capture authentic, real-world usage patterns inside **Android Studio running natively on macOS**. This is not a coding project in the traditional sense — it's an opportunity for skilled mobile developers to share their genuine, day-to-day workflows so we can better understand how professionals actually use this development environment.

You'll need to already have Android Studio installed and fully functional on your own Mac. We're not issuing licenses, virtual machines, or loaner hardware — this role is built for people who already live in this tool as part of their regular development practice.

What you'll do

• Perform typical Android/Kotlin/Java development tasks inside Android Studio on your own macOS machine
• Demonstrate real, unscripted workflows: project setup, debugging, emulator use, Gradle builds, refactoring, version control integration, etc.
• Narrate or document your process where requested so we can capture how experienced developers reason through common tasks
• Provide honest feedback on friction points, IDE behavior, and productivity patterns
• Complete short structured sessions or tasks on a flexible schedule

Requirements

• A Mac running macOS with Android Studio already installed and ready to launch immediately
• Genuine, hands-on experience developing Android applications (Kotlin and/or Java)
• Comfort working independently and articulating your development process clearly
• Reliable internet connection for remote session coordination
• Professional communication and ability to meet flexible session commitments

Compensation

This engagement pays **$55–$65 per hour**, fully remote, with flexible scheduling. Slots are limited and awarded to applicants who can demonstrate genuine, current Android Studio proficiency on macOS.
