AI Visual Data Contributor: Facial Imagery & Video Capture

About the role

We're building high-quality, diverse datasets used to train and evaluate next-generation computer vision and AI perception models. As a Visual Data Contributor, you'll help capture and submit facial imagery and short video recordings following precise technical specifications. Your contributions directly support the development of safer, more accurate, and more inclusive AI systems.

This is a remote, flexible-schedule opportunity ideal for detail-oriented individuals who can follow structured instructions consistently and reliably across multiple capture sessions.

What you'll do

• Capture selfies and short video recordings of your own face according to detailed technical guidelines (lighting, angle, framing, expression, etc.)
• Follow step-by-step instructions precisely to ensure captured data meets quality and consistency standards
• Review your own submissions for clarity, focus, and compliance with specifications before uploading
• Complete structured data collection tasks in batches, on your own schedule
• Provide basic metadata or context tags alongside submissions when requested
• Communicate promptly with the project team regarding instruction clarifications or technical issues
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data-handling practices in accordance with project guidelines

Requirements

• Ability to follow multi-step written or visual instructions with high accuracy
• Strong attention to detail, especially around lighting, framing, and technical capture requirements
• Access to a smartphone or device with a functional front-facing camera capable of recording video and photos
• Reliable internet connection for uploading media files
• Comfortable appearing in photos and short video clips as part of the data collection process
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Available for repeat sessions if follow-up data collection rounds are needed

**Nice to have:**

• Prior experience contributing to AI/ML training data or annotation projects
• Basic understanding of photo/video composition (lighting, framing, angles)
• Experience with data privacy or consent-based data collection processes

Compensation

This role is compensated hourly, in the range of $139–$140/hour, based on task volume and session length. Payment is issued upon verified, quality-compliant submission of required data.
