About the role
We're building a network of accomplished aerospace engineers to help shape how advanced AI systems reason about complex engineering problems. In this role, you'll design realistic aerospace design and analysis scenarios—covering aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, or guidance/navigation/control (GNC)—that are used to test and improve model judgment on technically demanding tasks. This is a remote, async engagement ideal for engineers who enjoy articulating their expertise in writing as much as applying it in practice.
What you'll do
- Author original aerospace design and analysis scenarios grounded in real-world engineering practice
- Evaluate AI-generated engineering reasoning for technical accuracy, rigor, and soundness
- Document your own engineering reasoning clearly, showing how an expert would approach and solve the problem
- Provide structured feedback that helps distinguish strong engineering judgment from subtle errors
- Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of subject-matter experts across engineering disciplines
Requirements
- Degree in aerospace engineering or a closely related field
- 2+ years of professional aerospace engineering experience
- Demonstrated depth in at least one specialty area: aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, or GNC
- Excellent written English with the ability to clearly document technical and engineering reasoning
- Able to commit at least 10 hours per week
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment
Compensation
This role pays $100–$130/hr, paid weekly, based on experience and depth of specialization. Fully remote, flexible async schedule.
