About the role
We are building a specialized clinical advisory team to help design rigorous, safety-critical frameworks for identifying, assessing, and responding to adolescent suicide risk and self-harm behavior. This is a design-focused engagement for licensed or highly experienced clinicians who can translate real-world clinical judgment into structured guidelines, decision trees, rubrics, and case-based materials that will inform how sensitive youth mental health scenarios are understood, evaluated, and escalated.
You will work independently and collaboratively with a small group of clinical peers and platform staff to produce artifacts that reflect best-practice clinical reasoning around ideation, intent, means, escalation, and intervention pathways specific to adolescents.
What you'll do
- Design clinical risk-assessment frameworks and decision-support materials specific to adolescent suicidality and self-harm
- Develop realistic, nuanced case scenarios that differentiate passive ideation, active ideation, intent, and plan
- Author scoring rubrics and escalation criteria that reflect sound clinical risk formulation
- Review and critique existing materials for clinical accuracy, safety gaps, and developmental appropriateness (adolescent-specific considerations)
- Provide expert judgment on when and how a scenario should trigger escalation, referral, or crisis intervention
- Document clinical reasoning in a clear, structured, and reproducible format suitable for non-clinical stakeholders
- Collaborate with other subject-matter experts to align on terminology, thresholds, and edge-case handling
Requirements
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in adolescent mental health, with direct experience in suicide and self-harm risk assessment
- Strong clinical reasoning and risk formulation skills, including ability to differentiate ideation from intent
- Experience with escalation protocols and crisis intervention judgment in youth populations
- Ability to translate complex clinical judgment into clear written frameworks, rubrics, or decision logic
- Comfort working independently on sensitive, high-stakes content
- Strong written communication skills; prior experience authoring clinical guidelines, training materials, or case studies is a plus
Compensation
Hourly engagement, $45–$95/hour depending on experience and scope. Fully remote, flexible scheduling, global applicants welcome.
