Your expertise in audit, tax, financial reporting, bookkeeping, controllership, forensic accounting, or accounting systems will directly inform the training data that powers next-generation AI reasoning models.

You'll translate the judgment calls, workflows, and technical nuance of everyday accounting practice into structured scenarios that help AI systems learn to think like a seasoned professional.

What you'll do

• Design realistic accounting scenarios and tasks drawn from your own professional experience (e.g., financial statement preparation, reconciliations, journal entries, tax computations, audit procedures)
• Document the reasoning, judgment, and decision-making process behind each scenario in a structured, high-quality format
• Review and refine AI-generated responses to accounting problems for technical accuracy and professional soundness
• Provide detailed feedback that helps calibrate AI outputs against real-world professional standards
• Collaborate with a distributed team of subject-matter experts to ensure consistency and quality across submitted work

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience in one or more areas of accounting practice: audit, tax, financial reporting, bookkeeping, controllership, forensic accounting, or accounting systems
• Strong written communication skills — able to clearly articulate technical reasoning and judgment
• Comfort working independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Familiarity with standard accounting frameworks, software, and reporting conventions

**Nice to have:**

• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA)
• Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms
• Prior experience contributing to training data, content review, or evaluation work for AI/ML projects

Compensation

This role offers a competitive flat hourly rate of $80/hour, fully remote, with flexible scheduling to fit around your existing commitments. This is a contract-based engagement suited to professionals seeking meaningful, high-impact freelance work.
