How Experts Get Paid at TaskGym
Most platforms tell you the pay is “competitive” and make you sign up to find out. We do the opposite: every bounty on TaskGym publishes its full payout ladder, every stage and every dollar, before you create an account. This post explains how to read it.
The ladder
Every engagement moves through the same stages. The first few are unpaid, and we say so up front:
- Application ($0): account, resume, consents. About five minutes.
- Interviews ($0): two voice conversations about how you actually work. Around 45 minutes total.
- Task map confirmation ($0): you correct the map of your work we drafted from the interview. Around 15 minutes.
- Authoring and work sessions (paid, hourly): once your tasks are adopted, you author tasks from your own playbook and perform them in recorded sessions. Typical rates run $30 to $250 per hour by role.
- Cross-review ($60/hr): experienced experts also review other experts’ sessions blind.
Why the early stages are unpaid
The interviews verify relevant experience and give us enough detail to draft an accurate task map. These qualification stages are unpaid; payment starts when a researcher adopts your tasks into an active project and paid sessions open.
When the money arrives
Payouts run through Stripe, shortly after each session is reviewed and approved. No invoices, no net-30, no chasing anyone.
No minimums, no lock-in
There are no minimum hours. Take sessions when they suit you; skip them when they don’t. Most TaskGym experts work alongside a full-time job, and your profile stays active as long as you want it to.
Every rate is on the board right now: see the open bounties.
